The seat insert is made of 1075 rounded edge steel, which is full hard, painted with a non-rusting adhesive, and coated with rubber that is ¼ inch to 3/8 inch thick. The edges of the insert are rounded to prevent injuries from sharp edges.

Unlike natural rubber, which is often made from recycled tires and can wear off on children’s clothes, EPDM rubber is specially designed for our swing seats and does not rub off on clothes.
