This vandal-proof swing seat features galvanized welded triangular hardware that makes it one of the sturdiest swing seats available. The dimensions of the seat are 24in x 6in x 5/16in or 30 1/4in hanger to hanger. It is made with 70 EPDM rubber with insert to resist vandalism. EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer is a synthetic rubber material which helps prevent crazing, cracking and oxidizing. Natural rubber is often made from recycled tires etc, and you are never sure what the actual rubber.
This swing seat is a rotational molded swing made of polyethylene and has a new improved hanger. The dimensions of the seat are 19.75in x 9in x 2in thick. Space between hangers is 16 3/8in. These seats are made wider and studier to hold both small and large children. This seat meets ASTM Standards both commercially and residentially. The seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Tensile strength is 3000 lbs.
