While not officially recognized as a sport, Tetherball is a very common outdoor activity played in schools around the world. The game is intended for two opposing players standing on opposite sides of the pole with a tetherball hung from the top of the pole with a rope or tether. Each player tries to hit the ball one way; one clockwise, and one counterclockwise.
