The Wide Opening Clips are 3/8” x 4” with a wide opening to fit everything including swing hangers and washer seats. This clip can not be used with our 3/16" coated swing chains. This product should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Tensile strength is 2900 lbs.

5/16" Shackle w/ 3/8" x 1.5" Bolt

These forged steel shackles provide an alternative to S-hooks with their multiple use capabilities and ease of installation. Their added strength has led some cities and parks to require their use in place of S-hooks. The shackle has a 5/16″ diameter and is paired with a 3/8″ x 1 1/2″ bolt, with a 1/2″ opening at the bolt and up to 1″ at its widest point, allowing for use with chains up to 1/2″ in size. This shackle boasts a tensile strength of 12500 lbs. The shackle has a hardness rating of 212 HBS, while the bolt rates at 176 HBS. With proper use, this product is expected to last up to 5 years under optimal conditions and at least 2 years in harsher environments, although some conditions may require replacement sooner.
