To connect the seat to the chain, you’ll need to use our large end H140 S-hook or H172 H-Shackle, both of which are compatible with our swing seats. The seat is equipped with four stainless steel washers that are welded to a 301 full hard stainless steel insert, which is then molded into the seat. The insert is covered with EPDM material, which helps withstand harsh weather conditions and fading.
EPDM (Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer) is a synthetic rubber material that prevents crazing, cracking, and oxidizing. Unlike natural rubber, which is often made from recycled tires and can wear off on children’s clothes, EPDM rubber is specially designed for our swing seats and does not rub off on clothes.
